How are the bestseller lists generated?
Alley Talk’s bestseller lists are based on Baker & Taylor sales data across all business units, including YBP Library Services and Majors Book Company. The rankings reflect sales over the past thirty calendar days, and all of the lists are updated every day around 11:00 AM. As elsewhere on the Publisher Alley system, sales are on a two-day delay.
Examples: The list that appears on January 1 reflects B&T sales from November 30 through December 29. The list that appears on January 2 reflects sales from December 1 through December 30. Sales are subject to return at a later date.
Do I need to visit Alley Talk to see the lists?
No. You can subscribe to the lists via email (one email per day per list) or use the RSS feeds.
