How are the bestseller lists generated?
Alley Talk’s bestseller lists are based on Baker & Taylor sales data across all business units, including YBP Library Services. The rankings reflect sales over the past thirty calendar days for titles with a list price of over $5.00. All of the bestseller lists are updated every day around 11:00 AM. As elsewhere on the Publisher Alley system, sales are on a two-day delay.
Examples: The list that appears on January 1 reflects B&T sales from November 30 through December 29. The list that appears on January 2 reflects sales from December 1 through December 30. Sales are subject to return at a later date.
Do I need to visit Alley Talk to see the lists?
No. You can subscribe to the lists via email (one email per day per list) or use the RSS feeds.
